Description
A scratcher, a lounger and a toy in one curved frame. The arched corrugated board gives your cat a full-body stretch along its length, and the sisal-wrapped ball mounted at the end gives them something to grab, wrestle and grind their claws against when the scratching turns into play.
The curve is the clever part. Cats lie along it rather than beside it, so the same piece of furniture that saves your sofa also becomes a favourite napping spot, and it is wide enough that two cats will happily use it at the same time.
Why cats take to it
- Two scratching surfaces in one. A horizontal honeycomb board for the long stretch-and-drag scratch, plus a vertical rope ball for grabbing and paw grinding. Most cats want both and usually only get one.
- Raw pulp honeycomb board. Denser than standard corrugate, so it sheds noticeably less debris on your floor and lasts longer before it needs turning over.
- Fine woven hemp rope ball. Tightly wound so it resists pilling and holds its shape under claws, rather than unravelling after a fortnight.
- Solid wooden frame, screw fixed. Multiple screws hold the structure together so it does not rock when a cat lands on it. A scratcher that wobbles is a scratcher your cat abandons.
- Doubles as a bed. The curved lounge shape supports the way cats actually lie, so it earns its floor space twice over.
Who it suits
Good for indoor cats who scratch horizontally, for homes without room for a full cat tree, and as a second scratching spot in another room. Cats scratch on waking and when excited, so having one near the sofa and one near the bed works far better than a single post they have to walk to.
Suitable for kittens through to adult cats. Place it beside the furniture your cat already scratches, then move it gradually once it is being used.
